  • New small works

I have been having delicious fun in the studio working on some block printing - in this case lino but also on reduction lino prints - sometimes referred to as 'suicide' lino's.  This is because you carve only a section at a time (always start with white first - or the colour of the paper) and then keep carving and printing until all the lino is carved away - as you can imagine if you get it wrong ...all is lost!  Anyhow, have a look  under the print page and see what you think.  I particularly like the one of...

  • Exploration of new works

I am having fun at the moment exploring the Japanese principles of Wabi-Sabi and Shibui.  I have started with some jewellery in silver.  I have always loved and worked with a subtle Japanese influence - particularly in the jewellery - often the tops of the forms and hanging systems reflect oriental roof lines and temple forms. • Classes

If you are interested in art classes, I teach from my studio two days a week - Tuesday and Fridays.  The classes are great fun, lots of laughter and general insanity.  Rather than teaching people to copy the way I paint, I give the students the tools/techniques/ideas needed to become the artist that they want to be.  You can purchase a block of 20 hours and it is over to you how you use the hours up - some people come for the whole day, some half, some fortnightly.  You have to bring your lunch, your sense of humour and...
