  • monday madness

    Dates: Jan 26 Feb 9 and 23 March 9 and 23Time: 9am – 2.30pmFees: n/aThis is a social craft group. Everyone works on their own latest ideas and we sometimes combine to have some fun on a new idea together – sharing any costs. Generally we are working in fibre, slow stitching, knitting, dyeing, painting on silk, weaving, eco dyeing. We do also work with paper and other mad ideas as well.

    Term: Feb 3 and 17 March 3, 17 and 31Time: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $225 per termClass: Full – join waiting listThis is a teaching art class, my goal is to teach you to be the artist that you want to be. Painting is the main focus but we do cover other art practices such as mixed media, lino cuts, printing techniques, water colour, mark making, collage and paper works. I do not use oils for the health and safety of the class.

    Term: Feb 4 and 18 March 4 and 18 April 1Time: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $220 per termClass: Full – join waiting listLearn silversmithing, working with metal, cutting, filing, solder, polish, forge and shape and simple stone setting. How to design your ideas through to a high - end finish. We make it all, rings, earrings, pendants, brooches, bangles and bracelets. It can take a number of terms to master these skills. All tools required are available in class.

  • facing the fear of the blank page

    How to start, build your ideas and relax enough to create. Learn art practices to be confident to develop your skills. Materials will be available but also bring some of what you may already work in . This is a workshop to remind you that art can be fun even when taking risks.
  • the four hour painting challenge

    :Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400
    Materials: Canvas (not little one)
    A great challenge and loads of fun. You will complete a painting (yes even a large one) in 4 hours. You can do this! It is a wonderful way to really focus and create without distractions from your inner voice. A canvas will be required and paints that you have, otherwise access to studio paints with a small charge.

    Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400Materials: List and some available Learn the heavenly art of slow stitching. Freedom in design and just down right fun of playing with thread, colour, fabrics (old and vintage) and how to be loose and creative with such a lovely medium. Be warned this is addictive! Email to be put on the Expressions of Interest List.

    Necklaces, bracelets, pendants, colour, texture, shapes, quiet to outrageous – all possible. Learn how to thread properly and how to finish the wearable piece. Make as many as you can, all materials available for purchase.This can be organised as a friends or family get together class.
  • Mix it Up – print, paper, paint

    Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400
    Materials: Available
    A great way to play with unused prints and to develop a mixed media approach to your print making and art works.
  • the theory of painting

    Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400Materials: Notebook
    This class is to really understand what makes a painting “ work ”, how do I know if it is finished? How do I find the problems and then resolve them. This is a theory packed class so notebook required.ks.
  • understanding paint and products

    Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400Materials: supplied
    Really get your head around different paints, additives, varnish and mediums, how they work, what products added will do, and how to get the best from the paints that you already have. Most importantly what paints should I buy? Bring any paints or products with you so you understand what you already have.
  • tools of mark making

    This workshop is a great challenge and loads of fun. Learn the joy of making marks on all your artwork, how to do them, what you can use and how to add a depth to all your work. Learn what is compatable with what and how to relax your technique right from the first mark you make.
  • coptic book binding

    Dates: comingTime: 9am – 2.30pmFees: $400
    Materials: List and some available to buy
    Coptic binding is an ancient technique where the pages of the book are stitched together using a double needle process. Making your own books by hand is a truly lovely experience. Book packs: A4 $50 and A5 $30 extra materials can be purchased in class. There is a refresher class available.
  • coptic book binding - stage 2

    Materials: List and some available to buy
    This is a refresher to build confidence in the coptic binding technique where the pages of the book are stitched together using a double needle process. Book Packs : A4 $50 and A5 $30 extra materials can be purchased in class.
